Something
is very wrong here!
Both units are Stainless steel, but why the price
difference?
Compare prices on both of these items and tell me
which one has more value. If a funeral home sold refrigerators, this
one would be in the $90,000 dollar range.
Everytime
you purchase a casket from a funeral home, you're sending a clear
message that its ok for funeral homes to take advantage of you.
Will the funeral home
accept my casket?
Yes. By law, a funeral home cannot refuse to accept
your casket. Also, a funeral home cannot charge you any extra handling
fees or require you to be there when the casket is delivered.
Why are About
Caskets prices so low?
We price our caskets by our cost, funeral homes
price a casket by how it looks and how popular the casket is
to the consumer. Funeral homes will tell you it's "overhead" but
that's why they charge a basic service fee.
What is a "Sham" discount?
When a funeral home prices
a casket very high and then takes a large discount off to match
a lower price, that would be considered a "Sham" discount. Funeral
homes that advertise "Guaranteed lowest cost" or "We beat everyones
price" would be your common "Sham" discounters.
Do you sell all brands of caskets?
Yes!
We sell Astral, York, Batesville, Art Caskets and many others and
we can get almost any brand of casket. If you can find it, so
can we.
Are packaged funerals a good deal?
Most
funeral homes discount the service portion of a package. The casket
in a "package" is usually of lesser quality. They do this for two
reasons. One, if you choose another casket (which is what they want
you to do) they get more profit and two, if you purchase a casket
from an outside source such as us, they can break up the package and
charge you per item. They make even more of a profit and punish
you at the same time. Be careful, read all of your fine print,
but try to stay away from "packages."
Can you recommend an honest dignified
funeral home?
No. The State of California would consider this
to be "leading" or "soliciting". Although our casket store
is owned by Mission Family Mortuary, we can't tell you that. We
can't tell you that we are the lowest, most honest, upfront
priced funeral home in Kern County, it's against State law. But we
can answer all of your questions before you meet with your funeral
home and help you to keep from over spending. See the casket store
first, then see your funeral home.
